Privacy Policy
A plain description of what this website collects, why, and what we deliberately do not ask for — particularly from veterans.
Last updated: August 7, 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy describes how Workhorse Websites handles information collected through this website and through the services we deliver for customers. It covers the forms on this site, the analytics and referral information the site records, and the project information customers submit through the Workhorse Proof Engine.
It does not cover third-party websites, platforms, or tools you reach through links from this site. Those services have their own policies.
2. Information you provide
Every form on this site is voluntary. You choose what to send. The forms currently collect:
- Contact form submissions — your name, business name, email address, phone number, the reason you are reaching out, your preferred contact method, and your message.
- Start Building and Workhorse applications — business details such as industry, service area, website address, and the package you are interested in.
- Veteran mission-pricing applications — the same business details, an attestation that the business is veteran-owned and operated, and an optional general branch of service.
- Mission Partner inquiries — business details from civilian businesses asking about availability.
- Partnership, media, and speaking inquiries — your contact details and the nature of the request.
You should not send sensitive personal information through these forms. They are not built for it and we do not ask for it.
3. Veteran information we do not request
The application forms on this website deliberately do not request:
- Social Security numbers
- VA disability ratings or claim information
- Medical or health information
- Detailed discharge documents
- DD214 uploads
- Military ID uploads
- Service dates or other detailed service records
The veteran application asks you to confirm that the business is meaningfully veteran-owned and operated, and offers an optional field for a general branch of service. Nothing more. There is no file upload on any public form on this site.
Veteran eligibility may be verified later through an appropriate process before mission pricing is applied. That verification process has not been finalized, so this policy does not describe it. It will be documented here and explained to applicants directly before it is used. If you receive a request for documentation that does not match what is published here, do not send it — contact us first.
4. Information collected automatically
When you use this site, limited technical and referral information may be recorded:
- The page you were on when you submitted a form.
- UTM campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) present in the address you arrived with.
- The referring website address your browser reports, when one is available.
- Standard server request information such as browser type and general device type.
This referral context is kept in your browser's session storage under the key wh_source so it survives navigation between pages, and it is attached to a form submission only if you submit one. It is cleared when you close the browser tab.
If website analytics or advertising measurement tools are added in the future, this policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated to name them before they are enabled.
6. How information is used
- Responding to your inquiry or application.
- Reviewing an application for service fit, veteran eligibility, and current capacity.
- Delivering and supporting the services a customer has purchased.
- Understanding which pages and campaigns bring in inquiries, so the website can be improved.
- Detecting and preventing spam, abuse, and duplicate or automated submissions.
- Maintaining ordinary business records.
- Meeting legal or regulatory obligations that apply to us.
7. Proof Engine project information
Customers on the Workhorse Proof Engine, and the technicians or employees they authorize, may submit information about completed jobs. Depending on how the customer configures their account, this can include:
- Job photographs taken at a work site
- Business and project information, such as service type and job notes
- Approximate or exact location information for the job
- Technician or employee account information used to sign in and submit work
- Approvals indicating which projects may be published
Exact job locations may be retained privately for the customer's own operational and record-keeping purposes. Where a job took place at a residence, the publicly displayed location is intended to be offset or generalized rather than shown as a precise address.
We do not promise absolute anonymity, perfect security, or permanent storage of this information. No system can honestly offer that.
The business customer is responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit and publish project information and photographs, including any permission required from the property owner or occupant. Customers are responsible for not submitting content that shows people, documents, account details, or property information they are not permitted to publish.
Data-retention periods for Proof Engine content have not been finalized. This policy will state them once they are, rather than committing to a period we have not yet set.
8. Service providers
We use third-party providers to operate the website and deliver services. Depending on what a customer has purchased, these can include website hosting and database infrastructure, Google Business Profile and other Google services, business directory and citation platforms, social-media platforms where a customer has authorized publishing, and AI tools used to help draft content and project summaries.
These providers receive only what they need to perform their function. A complete, named list of processors is being finalized as part of the legal review of this document and will be published here rather than described from assumption.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Workhorse, our customers, or others.
We do not sell personal information.
9. Data retention
Inquiries, applications, and customer records are kept for as long as needed to respond to you, deliver services, and maintain ordinary business and legal records. Specific retention periods are part of the pending legal review and are not stated here yet. You may ask us to delete an inquiry you submitted, and we will do so where we are not required to keep it.
10. Data security
Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an access- controlled database. Internal lead and customer records require authentication and are not publicly accessible. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim that ours is.
11. Your choices
You can decline to submit a form, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you gave us.
Send those requests through the contact form. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and some information may be retained where the law requires it.
12. Links to other websites
This site links to customer websites, Google Business Profile listings, directories, and other third-party services. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply. We do not control them.
13. Children's privacy
This website and these services are for businesses. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will remove it.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy will change as the services develop and after legal review. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent substantive update. Continuing to use the site after an update means the current version applies.
